1932 2.3 8C Alfa Romeo Monza

The last of the 2.3 Touring Spiders, built for my own collection, and showing the car as it appeared in 1934, with two spare wheels at the rear and a finned cover to streamline them.  The miniature is built in the same way as the others.  The rear wheel cover being made from copper sheet, with fine brass wires added for the strips, and the brass fin soft soldered to the top.  The aluminium trim was made to slip over the top of the fin, then the edges of the fin filed down slightly to allow for  a thickness of paint, before the final fitting.
